The small amount of
pressure applied against the nickel shell makes it ideal. In most
situations it is advantageous not to back the shell. The thin
nickel shell relieves any heat exceptionally fast. Using
less material and eliminating machining greatly reduces your cost
and time to market. The hard nickel surface maintains its detail.
